     A free event and there were more cars than I had space on the memory cards I had with me, what fun. Better grab some pop corn, there are a lot of pictures!

     Met some great people and shot some great cars, I'll definitely be back next year!

Owls

Ogden Nature Center

     The Ogden nature center was having a "creatures of the night" event tonight and since they have a few owls, I thought I would check them out. When I arrived, they had someone out front turning people away. However I persisted and was able to get in and park. I missing the first owl show and had to wait for the next one. The light, however turned against me and the bird handlers had more trouble standing still than the 50 or so children watching. The kids ranged between 3 and 8 so, that's saying something. I had to crank up the ISO to 1600 for a 1/20th of a second speed and managed a few fair shots. Here they are, it was fun to see the birds and next time I'll show up early!

     At the other side there was some creative lighting set up, there were several shooters and we all had to take turns. I would have done the light quite differently. However Scott at DIY Photography had a great team and they went over and above to make sure we understood how to use the light!

     Great fun and I can't wait to get back into the studio!
